The tournament was held in celebration of the 70th anniversary of Saudi-Japanese relations, highlighting the depth of partnership and the distinguished diplomatic ties between the two nations.
The Ambassador of Japan to the Kingdom, Mr. Yasunari Morino, and his wife attended the closing ceremony of the 2025 Ambassador of Japan Judo Cup – Youth Category, alongside Dr. Abdulaziz Al-Bassam, President of the Saudi Judo Federation.
The event was organized by the Saudi Judo Federation on October 3rd and 4th at Prince Faisal bin Fahd Arena in Riyadh, with a large crowd and wide participation from clubs and sports centers.
The tournament witnessed outstanding performances by both male and female players, reflecting the significant progress of judo in the Kingdom, and the Federation’s commitment to supporting youth categories in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
